You say goodbye, I say hello.

Family in Zaatari refugee camp.

I said goodbye to Amman last week and hello to Beirut, Lebanon. I met so many lovely people in Amman, people that I’ll never forget (some that I hope to see in Syria someday not so far in the future) and that I will always hold close to my heart. The stories I heard and wrote changed me. Shifted my perspective. Informed and humbled me. The people I was lucky enough to become close to helped me more than I deserved. I would have never been able to do the work I did in Amman without you – you guys know who you are. Thank you for everything.

So in my first week, I’ve been busy with new work, but I had a chance this weekend to explore the city and take some photographs. There is so much to visit and see in this country, I look forward to documenting this new chapter. Enjoy!

Gday, I’m new to blogging and internet sites in general and was wondering how you got the “www” included in your domain name? I see your domain name, “” has the www and my domain looks like, “”. Do you know the way I can alter this? I’m
using WordPress. Thank you very much

I’m not sure, not very IT savvy. It comes up without a “www” when I look at it.

First off I want to say fantastic blog! I had a quick question which I’d like to ask if you don’t mind.

I was interested to know how you center yourself and clear your thoughts prior to writing.
I’ve had difficulty clearing my thoughts in getting my thoughts out there. I truly do take pleasure in writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are usually lost simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or tips? Thanks!

Thanks, Tommy! Hmm, I like to write early in the morning when all is quiet in my world and my mind is fresh. Everyone is different though, you just have to see what works for you! I would say keep trying lots of different times of day and environments until you figure out what is best for you.
